Third day at Aspen Highlands (mostly)

We got up on our third day in Aspen to flurries outside. We got ourselves to Aspen Highlands as quickly as we could to catch some fresh powder. Lily, Mark and I decided we needed a lesson. The bumpy terrain the previous day at Snowmass really wore us out and we needed to correct our technique. Unfortunately we arrived at Highlands to find they didn't have any more available snowboarding instructors. We had the lessons desk call Buttermilk to see if they had instructors and they did so we hopped on the shuttle and went over.

Once at Buttermilk we ended up getting our own instructor for the three of us, Pablo from Argentina. He took us up the lift to do a run and assess our skills. After that he determined we'd be better off at Highlands so back on the shuttle we went.

Once there he made some adjustments to our bindings to help our various stance issues and we headed up the mountain. The powder was awesome! He took us on some great runs with large sections of fresh powder. Eventually the snow stopped and the sun started peaking out. Our runs were better, faster and more controlled. By the end of the day Pablo decided to take us for a more challenging run called Sherwood Forest. There we traversed the hill carving between trees. Unfortunately Mark and I spent more time on our asses than on our boards but it was still fun.
